Wie man vielleicht bereits merken konnte, bin ich großer Fan von Kolbenmotorflugzeugen, insbesondere aus der Zeit nach 1935. Und sowjetische Kampfflugzeuge dieser Art haben eine ganz eigene Faszination. Hier sind drei Videos von solchen Maschinen: I-16 Mosca/Ishak, La-9, MiG-3 und – erst kürzlich restauriert und besonders spektakulär: Die Il-2 (Wohl aber nicht mit Originalmotor).

As one may have realized, I am a big fan of piston engined aircraft, especially those built after 1935. Soviet combat aircraft of this kind have some kind of very special fascination for me. Here are three videos of such machines: I-16 Mosca/Ishak, La-9, MiG-3 and – only recently restored and thus most spectacular: An Il-2 (Probably not with the original engine, though)

Considering the fact that I have sometimes been confronted with that 50′s stereotype that “cats are for girls, dogs are for boys” (right, AN?), here you have it. It’s just plain wrong. What? Since “Brokeback Mountain”, cowboys are not the symbol of rough, tough masculinity they used to be? Crap. Anyway, this is a cool commercial and it was made before “Brokeback Mountain”. The question remains who will buy all these half-wild cats. But then again, get a cat from a bad breeder and you will end up with much the same result.

It translates to: … antifeminist, impostor, antisemite, race theorist (or what ever the English word may be for a guy who tries to elevate racism to his idea of a “scientific level”) and occultist. All that in the first sentence of the article. Must have been a rather special fellow…

Jörg Lanz von Liebenfels muß schon ein ganz besonderer Typ gewesen sein: Nicht in jedem Wikipedia-Artikel werden schon im ersten Satz so viele widerliche Einordnungen aufgezählt:
